Overview
Branding my wedding on August 16, 2026. Hosted at the Ming Pavilion, Island Shangri-la, Hong Kong.
The Challenge
I challenged myself to craft a wedding brand that captured the essence of my husband's and my journey: six years of long distance across continents to finally reuniting and returning home to Hong Kong, where we set off toward everything next. With only four months between April and August 2026, I designed, planned, and art directed the entire wedding branding, liaising with vendors and production partners to bring the story and vision to life.
Solution
Inspired by the colors of our culture, I created a porcelain illustration to symbolize our next chapter in Beijing and our return home after a decade abroad building our careers. The hybrid blue and red represents our heritage and also the harmony of our love and the home we found in each other.

A palette rooted in home
The red, blue, and green of our wedding symbolize the summer of our reunion after six years of long distance, the seasons we crossed together, and the places we met in between, and above all, our rootedness in home and our return to it. Inspired by our engagement and Beijing where we start our life together, each color layers in meaning.

Details unraveling with layers of meaning
Every detail, from the monogram and porcelain illustration to the sapphire jewelry, ribbons and florals, echoes the unexpected harmony of red and blue at the heart of our story: connected apart, reunited as one.
Designing a story I lived in
Branding my own wedding meant designing from the inside out. Every choice, from the illustration to the red and blue palette, symbolized years of memory, distance, and return. With only four months, I learned to trust my instincts to create an aesthetic that was meaning led. What looked like decoration was really storytelling, and that's the same principle I bring to every brand I design.
